Tractor Trailer Hitch
handy devices tractor trailer hitch Over the years we have published several ideas for attaching a hitch ball to a tractor, which makes it easy to move trailers around a farmstead. But this one from Britt Fontenot of Westlake, La., has the advantage of being simple. To make a drawbar with ball attached, he used a 40-inch-long piece of 4-inch angle iron, which bolts to the bottom arms of a 3-point hitch. The ends are cut to prevent roll. Now Fontenot can easily attach a trailer to a tractor without leaving the tractor seat.

Cash for ideas: We pay $50 for each idea and $150 for each "Editor's Choice" used, provided they have never been published. Please include a photograph or drawing. Also include your address and phone number. Send to Handy Devices, The Progressive Farmer, P.O. Box 317, Plattsburg, MO 64477. Sorry, but we can't acknowledge submissions or return photographs or drawings.
