Welcome to Anderson Farmhouse. This is a home that borrows heavily from the design of farm homes a century ago. It is a simple style—a main rectangular living area bisected by two wings. Some call this a T-shaped home (a similar style with a single wing is called an L-shaped home). But this house is quite modern. It is highly energy-efficient, for one. There also are functional architectural details that distinguish Anderson Farmhouse not only from its distant relatives but also its modern-day neighbors.
